Provides services in York Region to women and children who have experienced domestic violence and abuse.
We provide crisis and short term supportive counselling in individual and group format, information, referral services, advocacy, and practical assistance to women and children.
We also provide secure emergency shelter to women and children. We have 2 shelters. Both are located in York Region.
At this time we only provide services for adult women and their families. Women with dependent children, regardless of their age and gender are assisted in our shelters.
Yellow Brick House also has a PUblic Education Program. Public Education provides workshops and presentations to the public. We offer a variety of topcs related to Recognizing and Responding to Abuse and Healthy Relationships.

Special Services During Pandemics (e.g. COVID/Corona), Disasters and Related Emergencies
We continue to offer emergency shelter and counselling services. Our shelter services continue based on women meeting our mandate, and space availability. However we will assist in with providing alternate resources if we are full.
