Event Description

Depression is a growing concern for clinicians. Not only are its prevalence and incidence on the rise, but it has an alarming breadth of clinical presentations. This two-day workshop explores two proven strategies for managing depression: CBT, and mindfulness- and acceptance-based approaches. Drawing on video vignettes and case studies, Dr. Bieling presents a range of treatment options to suit the many presentations and severities of depression, as well as maintenance and relapse prevention methods.

• Discover a simple approach to assess the severity and chronicity of depression, so you can identify the best intervention.
• Acquire working knowledge of behavioural activation strategies.
• Enhance your skills in cognitive monitoring and thought disputation.
