Event Description

This cutting edge seminar focuses on integrating current neuroscientific knowledge about how the brain of an angry person functions with practical ways to utilize this information with angry, violent and/or alcoholic and drug addicted individuals. Participants will learn how to help clients develop and implement an individual brain change program that both lowers the risk of excessive anger, aggression and substance abuse and directs the client toward more positive functioning.

Objectives for Professionals:
-Be able to help clients develop an individualized brain change program.
-Be able to offer specific therapeutic techniques to help angry clients at catching the six stages of a typical anger cycle.
-Be able to help clients understand the core principles of neuroplasticity.
-To be able to address with clients the relationship between substance abuse and anger/aggression.
