Event Description

The Sudbury Manitoulin Woman Abuse Screening Research Team are looking to recruit 6-8 women whom have experienced abuse/trauma to participate in our focus groups. Each discussion group will include facilitators, a researcher and a transcriber. For the Aboriginal Women’s group we will have an Elder for spiritual support. Participants will be compensated for their time. We will be serving a light meal, coffee and tea. There will be five focus groups to meet the needs of participants; for Aboriginal women there will be one in Naughton, Sudbury, Mindemoya, Wikwemikong and in Little Current (all women are welcomed)
