Charlton Hall Child and Family Centre is an accredited children's mental health centre providing a range of residential and day treatment services for children and youth 6-21 years of age who are experiencing social, emotional, mental health or behavioural challenges. Residential Programmes * Charlton Hall: a residential treatment program providing a live-in therapeutic milieu for 10 adolescent girl* McMulkin House: a staff model, 6 bed home providing care and treatment for children 6-12 years of age who are in the care of the Children's Aid Society of Hamilton * Live n' Learn: A semi-independent, cooperative living home providing preparation for independence for four, 16-21 year old youth who are Crown Wards of the Children's Aid Society of Hamilton.
Transitions Day Treatment / Classroom A specialized treatment /education program serving 8 co-ed students 13 - 18 years of age whose social,emotional, mental health and behavioural challenges have interfered with their learning & functioning in a mainstream school setting. The classroom is staffed by a Child & Youth Worker and Special Education Teacher and focuses on the reintegration of students as successful learners in their home-based community schools.
* Transitions is located in a separate building at the Charlton Hall site.
